S’pore, or Singapore to you

We made to Paul and Shelley’s house at 4 am. Very comfortable, 10 flights up.

Their nice Philippino maid did our laundry

Next day we were zonked but determined to see something while Shelley and Paul were at school. So with all the directions Shelley left us, took a shuttle for their community to the subway station, changed twice for “Little India.” Amazing place, like we had never come home from our trip last year. We strolled through food courts, markets, streets until the rain caught us and we headed back for the subway. Easy to negotiate. Shelley calls Singapore “Asia light” or “Asia for beginners” so we are all set.

The man cutting lamb leg really made it look good. Everyone getting ready for New Years. We also stumbled onto the huge decorations for New Years all done in silk to be lighted at night.

Inside the “boat building” was a luxury mall and casino…Tom actually thought about it, free entry for foreigners.

Then onto the weird gardens, filled with artificial huge “trees” with epiphytes growing. Then it started to pour!!!
