Second Day in Bariloche

Today we took another local bus to Lago Gutierrez about a half hour from downtown. Everything takes longer here, we had to wait 45 minutes to buy two stamps, then another half hour to buy some fruit in a small supermarket, then in a line for the bus, but everything does work and there is no snow or freezing temperatures, so we count ourselves lucky. We also bought our passage on three boats and two buses through the lakes and the Andes from Bariloche to Puerto Varas if you want to follow us on a map. We leave tomorrow at 7 am.

Lago Gutierrez was peaceful, we sat and had a small picnic, fed the well-fed street dogs, then walked 4 miles into the National Park to see a waterfall and a view. Dusty walking but we enjoyed the exercise. That Irish friend does 24 kilometers a week at 78, up and down hills.
